FIFA turf expert arrives in Monrovia today on a three-day working visit to conduct a site inspection of two venues to collect technical specimens for the installation of two additional turfs in Liberia.
British man Eric Harrison will meet with LFA President Mustapha Raji and EC members on Wednesday, 17 July at the LFA HQ before visiting Willis D. Knuckles Sports pitch in Zubah Town and Conference Center Sports Pitch in Virginia a day after.
Mr. Harrison will end his visit with a two-hour debriefing with the LFA authority on Friday, 18 July before leaving Liberia the same day.
The pitches inspection is what FIFA calls "step 2" of the pre-tender phase for the installation of football turf in FIFA MAs (member associations) countries.
EC member Tickly Monkoney will lead the Brit during the inspections of the two pitches.
Specimens gathered from the inspections will be collected and sent to the chain of command for immediate actions, which will include the Tender Phase and the Implementation of the projects.
Those two projects when constructed will bring to five (5) artificial turfs following the construction and inauguration of Doris Williams Pitch in Buchanan, SKD Practice Pitch in Paynesville, and Tusa Field in Gardnersville in 2021
